WHY SCIENCE and Ease the Quiet Storm were featured in a New Haven Register article “Sciences key for youths to succeed, founder of New Haven company says” on December 8, 2010. “Akpalu has made it her mission to help close the achievement gap and empower teachers to improve student achievement and participation in the so-called STEM fields — science, technology, engineering and mathematics”, says Angela Carter, author of the article. The documentary, Ease the Quiet Storm, produced with a grant from the National Science Foundation, was made to help accomplish the company mission.
